AUTISM PARENT GROUP (AGES 0-9) / GRUPO DE PADRES CON AUTISMO (EDADES 0-9)

At our meetings, the format alternates between speaker meetings, & open forums for discussing
any parenting challenges we are dealing with. We will also look at how we attend to our own needs, our ASD child’s needs & the needs of the whole family. We will conclude group with a mindfulness relaxation activity.

En nuestras reuniones, el formato alterna entre reuniones de oradores y foros abiertos para discutir
cualquier desafío de crianza que estemos enfrentando. También veremos cómo atendemos nuestras propias necesidades, las necesidades de nuestro niño con TEA y las necesidades de toda la familia. Concluiremos el grupo con una actividad de relajación mindfulness.

Our facilitator & speaker is Diana Blank, LCSW. Diana lives the autism parenting journey every
day with her son who has autism, & feels empowered by being a strong advocate for him. She has personal experience with navigating the school system & the insurance maze. Professionally, she has been in the field of social work since 1994, leading workshops for children with special needs & working in many other community-based agencies.

Nuestra facilitadora y oradora es Diana Blank,LCSW. Diana vive el viajede ser madre de un niño con
autismotodos los días y se siente empoderada al ser una firme defensora de él. Tiene experiencia personal en navegarpor el sistema escolar y el laberintode seguros. Profesionalmente, ha estado en el campo del trabajosocial desde 1994, dirigiendo talleres para niños con necesidades especiales y trabajando en muchas otras agenciascomunitarias.
